Who We Are

The Virginia Young Progressives (VAYP) is the statewide organization for young Democrats and progressives under 40. We mobilize young people across the Commonwealth to elect progressive leaders, advance bold policies, and build lasting political power.

Founded by young organizers who believed Virginia politics needed a louder, more representative voice for the next generation, VAYP has grown into a network of campus chapters, young professional clubs, and community organizers.

We believe that the fights for racial justice, economic dignity, climate action, reproductive freedom, and democracy are inseparable — and that young Virginians must be at the center of every one of them.
